Cars for the physically challenged can be rented at several major car rental agencies in the United States. These cars vary in size and are equipped with either left or right hand controls. The companies usually require a 24 to 48 hour advance reservation for these vehicles. Contact the companies directly for their requirements (see our list at right). Though the automobiles are fitted for hand controls, most of them are not wheel chair accessible.
